If the abdominal evaluation is negative for free fluid and the patient remains unstable, urgent angiography and embolization should be performed. Miller et al. stratified patients with pelvic fracture and hypotension by response to resuscitation. Adequate response was defined by sustained improvement in blood pressure after transfusion of two units of PRBC or less. Those that did not respond to this level
