Summary

Patients with hemodynamic instability and pelvic fracture remain a significant challenge in management. A multidisciplinary approach has been shown to have the best outcomes. The algorithm outlined above represents the efforts of the Western Trauma Association Critical Decisions in Trauma Ad Hoc Committee based on the best evidence available and expert opinion. Prospective validation of this algorithm is recommended.
