GETTING TO TELLURIDE
 Driving

 Directions to Telluride can be found on www.telluride.com. The driving time to Telluride is approximately:
 7 hours from Denver, Colorado
 6 hours from Albuquerque, New Mexico
 8 hours from Salt Lake City
 10 hours from Phoenix
 
 Flying
Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) is located five miles west of town. At an elevation of 9,080 feet above sea level, it is the second highest commercial airport in the world. Localizer/DME, VOR/DME, and GPS approaches. Serviced by United Express and America West Express. Upon arrival at Telluride Regional Airport you can take a shuttle to Telluride or Mountain Town, approximately 15-20 minutes away. Due to its location and elevation, aircraft diversion to Montrose or Durango during winter months is not uncommon]
 
Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is a short and beautiful 1.5 hour drive from Telluride. Getting there is easier than ever now, with year round access from Denver, Phoenix and Houston. From December through March, there are also direct jet flights from Newark, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Los Angeles and Chicago. The Montrose Airport is 65 miles from Telluride and is serviced by Continental, United Express, and America West Express.
 
Durango - La Plata County Airport (DRO) is located approximately 3 hours southwest of Telluride.  La Plata County Airport provides the major air access point for the Four Corners Region and attractions such as the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, Durango Mountain-Purgatory, Wolf Creek and Telluride ski areas, and Mesa Verde National Park. With a 9,200' runway, modern secure terminal, service from four air carriers, serving four hubs, including scheduled jet service from Phoenix, and, during ski season, Houston, the facility is truly a regional airport.  La Plata is serviced by Frontier, United, and US Airways.
 
Grand Junction - Walker Field Airport (GJT) is a 2.5 hour drive from Telluride. Commercial carrier service with over 20 daily departures to Denver, Phoenix and Salt Lake City and over 500 one-stop connections to cities in the United States, Canada, Europe and Central America. Easy access to tourist destinations throughout Western Colorado and Eastern Utah, such as the Colorado National Monument, Arches National Park, and major ski areas including Vail, Aspen, Telluride and Steamboat.  Its major airlines include Allegiant Air, American, Delta, United, and US Airways.
 
 GROUND TRANSPORTATION
There is a complimentary Gondola that will take you into town making car rentals unnecessary. For airport shuttle service, we have a 10% discount with Telluride Express for those flying into Montrose. To get the discount, call 888.212.TAXI and ask for the Western Trauma Association rate. You must ask for the Western Trauma rate prior to completing your reservation to get the discount.  Telluride Express is Telluride's #1 ground transportation company. On time service to/from Telluride, Montrose, Grand Junction, Durango, Cortez, Gunnison airports--the only company authorized by the PUC to transfer shared-ride passengers between Telluride and these airports.
